The department was established in 1961 alongside the formation of JPI itself. The curriculum covers Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) with CAD, CAM & Robotics, operation of various machinery, tool design, and engineering drawing.
- —Training on Lathe machines, Drill machines, Tool grinders, Shaper machine, Milling machine.
- —Wood Works / Carpentry Workshop, Foundry Practice, Pattern making, Advanced welding.
