The Department of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology trains students in the installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of industrial, commercial, and residential HVAC systems. The program aims to increase student employability as a servicing expert.
- —Curriculum includes Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Engineering Drawing, Piping & Pipe Design, Duct Design.
- —Also covers low pressure boilers, Cooling Towers, Water Chillers, etc.

Message from the HOD
“The RAC department was established in 2005 in Jinnah Polytechnic Institute. It deals with cooling and heating of the environment. The three-year diploma course is designed to give students advanced practical knowledge in the field. Students learn to install, maintain, repair, and overhaul industrial, commercial, and residential refrigeration and air conditioning systems and their component parts.”
